It's an improvement on the DS lite. I really don't think this is going to work out. Millions of people already own DS's and does Nintendo think we're going to go out and buy new ones? The cameras are kind of cool, and I like the new look and Wii-treatment but I think Nintendo kind of pushing their luck with this. I hope this doesn't lead to DSi only games are I'm going to have to buy it...

Legend of Zelda, Spirit Tracks

Yo, sorry I haven't posted. I've been having some crazy fun with Guitar Hero World Tour. Great game, it totally destroys Rock Band. Enough said.
Legend of Zelda, Spirit Tracks has recently been announced for the DS. I'm a little skeptic about it to be honest. The items look amazing and it seems like it plays a lot like Phantom Hourglass. But the whole "travel the world in a train" thing seems kind of gay. But knowing the series, it'll probably go together nicely.

The World Ends with You

I just got finished playing through "The World Ends with You" for the 5th time! (yeah that's where I've been.) That game truly reaches greatness and is definetly on my top 5 favorite games of all time. Square Enix is an absolute genuis for making a game like this. Sorry Final Fantasy fans, but this game is far greater then any Final Fantasy game that I've played. I mean, everything about it is perfect. The story, the setting, the gameplay, and the originality. Only Square Enix would have thought of the idea to have a battle on both screens of the DS at the SAME TIME! I've never had a paticular desire to go to a certain place in the World but now I really want to go to Shibuya. The controller looks a lot like a Wii remote. Obviously we know where their inspiration came from but can it rival the Wii? I'm not too sure. The PS3 has been in development for some time now, and it's too late too start thinking about motion controls. Also you'll need an EyeToy to be able to use the motion controls also. I think that if and when it first comes out it will be a huge hit. After that though it'll settle down. I also don't think we'll se many games use this capability unless it's cross-platformed with the Wii or made by Sony. Here's a picture of it. http://f3.yahoofs.com/ymg/yoon/yoon-818494032-1225391101.jpg?ym._4PADrFj83BE7

Final World Tour Setlist

This is the final main setlist for Guitar Hero: on tour. Since the pre-E3 conventions, there hasn't been anything happening really in the world of Nintendo. Kirby Super Stars Ultra is now out and I totally recommend it. It has all of the great SNES titles of the original game with much more. Activision has set a vague release date for Guitar Hero World Tour, it's coming out in October (this month) which isn't too suprising seeing the fact that they were ofcourse have it released before Christmas. Many people are saying that Guitar Hero is copying Rock Band by adding drum and microphone peripherals. But if you remember, Rock Band copied Guitar Hero. So really you can look at it as Guitar Hero copying itself. Guitar Hero will support online battle of the bands mode which will be pretty sweet. They're also is a new feature where you can create your own songs (lyrics excluded). With the Wii you can expect a lot of fun with your Mii's with the game. Definetly look for it when it comes out.

Animal Crossing: City Folk

After many, many times of us begging, pleading, crying, we're finally going to get it. Animal Crossing: City Folk for Wii. We're going to have to wait just a little longer though. The game is due to come out this winter. But almost after being 3 years since Wild World came out, nobody is really complaining.

Animal Crossing: City Folk is still the Animal Crossing formula that we all know and love but with many new additions. First off to addition to the town that you live in, you can visit a city that hosts many familiar character and not-so-familiar one's. At the city you can buy clothes, get a new hair-style from Harriet, or watch a comedy show starring Dr. Shrunk. Also in City Folk, you can use your Mii as a character. Or if you don't feel like starting all over again, you can take your character from Wild World and transfer it on to City Folk. City Folk has already been announced to support Nintendo Wi-Fi and to have free downloadable content.

Animal Crossing: City Folk will also be the first Wii game to support the WiiSpeak microphone peripheral. With WiiSpeak, you can talk to your distant friends while meeting each other over Nintendo Wi-Fi. WiiSpeak performs like a speaker-phone; you just put it on top of your T.V., sit down on the couch and talk.

Animal Crossing: City Folk is a rare gem that you shouldn't miss out on. Come back to check in on updates on the game.

5 reasons to pick Nintendo

The console wars continue. Though I can't figure out sometime why they do. I think the choice is obvious about picking the console; just pick Nintendo!

Yes I realize that people have different preferences. I realize that some people are really into the online shooting game that supports chatting. I realize the motion controls aren't for everyone. But what I can't stand is when a casual gamer goes with the PS3 or the Xbox 360. Here are five reasons to pick the Wii.

1. Free Internet!

Go ahead pay for your Internet on your gaming console. I'll stay away from the monthly payments by sticking with the Wii. First off for just $5 dollars (the one exception to the "free") you can browse the Internet from your Wii. Want to watch something on Youtube? Why watch it on a computer screen when you can watch it on a wide screen television? Want to find some cheats or walkthroughs of games? Just save the game you're playing, browse the Internet from your Wii and look it up. Also on a website called Wiicade (http://www.wiicade.com/) you get tons of free Wii supported games to play for free. Also to add to this, many games offer online play that you can play for free. There's no cost on online play at all (except to buy the Internet channel to browse the Internet.)

2. More than just a Gaming experience.

As many of you may know, on Wii, you have channels. The Wii offer much more than just a gaming experience. Want to know the weather, but don't want to watch that boring weather on T.V.? Type the location of where you live, and you can have a forecast in seconds. Nintendo offers many other channels including a News Channel (to see the news), the Mii Channel (a channel where you make your own custom avatar to play in games), the Everybody Votes Channel (a channel that takes your vote for a poll and then gives you the results, the Nintendo Channel (a channel where you can watch trailers for upcoming games and where you can download demos onto your Nintendo DS), the Wii Shop Channel (an online shop where you can buy games without even leaving you home, and the Check Mii out Channel (a channel where you can enter your Mii's into contests or download Mii's that other people created). And to addition to these channels, Nintendo often comes up with even MORE channels for you to download. The Music Channel is another channel in development that is soon to come out.

3. Motion Controls

The Wii supports motion controls for games. Now this is where I think most people get scared away from buying a Wii. Change is hard, and it's hard to leave behind our more traditonal gaming controller. But if you give the Wii a chance, you'll realize that the motion controls really work well. In the Legend of Zelda, Twilight Princess you swing the Wii remote to control Link's sword. In Wii Sports you use the Wii remote to play a variety of sports. In Madden games for the Wii, you use actual football movements to control the game. Even if motion controls aren't your cup of tea, there are many games that support the traditional controller play experience.

4. Accessories

Even with all of the motions you can perform with the Wii remote, Nintendo has created many accessories to go with the Wii. With the Zapper (a gun that you aim at the screen to fire) you can play shooter games like you do in the arcade by aiming at the screen to shoot. With the Wii balance board, you can use your feet in games too. With the Classic Controller you can play Wii games with a classic feel. With Wii Motion Plus, your Wii can get every motion controlled movement imaginable! With Wii Speak you can talk to friends on the other side of the World!

5. The Cost
The cost for the Wii is the best out of all the consoles at $250 (the Xbox 360 recently dropped down to $200 dollars but with all the money you have to spend to play Xbox live, in the long run the Wii is cheaper.) The PS3 is $500! Not only this but while Wii games are usually $50.00 PS3 games are $70.00! I don't know aobut you but I don't want to throw away $1000 to get a console and just 7 games! Not only this but the PS3 is very similar to the PS2. The PS3 has great graphics and improved gameplay over the PS2 but it can't comare to Nintendo's jump from Gamecube to Wii! Speaking of Gamecube, you can play Gamecube games on the Wii. You can't play PS2 games on the PS3!

So there you go. There are five good reasons that the Wii appeals to the common gamer more than it's competion. Go ahead. Go buy your Xbox 360 or your PS3. I won't care. I'll be too busy playing my Wii.
